Star Wars sequel trilogy, I'd keep TFA exactly the same and I'd keep TLJ exactly the same because they are both great and almost perfect and are only torn down The Rise of Skywalker, which felt completely disjointed from the other two. I'd lean into Rey Nobody because that was an amazing choice and I'd completely remove Palpatine from the equation entirely and just make it about a final showdown with Kylo Ren, as it always should have been. Most of that movie can actually stay as is and even works better if it's a Kylo Ren villain story, not a Palpatine villain story.

me a d my cousins once sat down and rewrote the star wars sequels by taking the existing scenes and reordering them to make more sense, adding in some extra scenes but not removing and of the bones

ok based on your star wars comment, you should 100% watch Templin institute's trilogy of videos about the sequels. they keep the bones and make improvements on the First Order, New Republic and then the actual war itself

Arya and the Night King was always like the one thing I didn't hate about the ending 😭 just don't know why it matters. if they hadn't ruined all the characters I would agree but if they had given that to Jon after how he was in seasons 7 and 8 I would have lost my head. he was the worst part of the show. and I never cared for Daenerys so that left a bunch of undeserving options. of those, she's not that bad

new challenge in the discord. We all are given a characters death and each of of create a new ending for the character and share them. this can be a competition but I think it would be really fun to create these and read multiple new versions of a characters death or something

I enjoyed the stories that followed the war with the Bong a lot more than I did the actual Vong stories themselves. Especially Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi, those are a lot of fun.

I think you're right, the only fully in salvageable thing is how they handled the long night, there is no universe in which they could have done this justice after 7 seasons without spending an entire season on it and having the white walkers conquer most of the north at least

Keeping the bones is what I prefer when I see someone do a rewrite. I’ve played with my own ideas of rewrites of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and set that very rule for myself - the core concepts need to be kept because it adds challenge and I don’t want to cheat. Also, I’m entertained by someone proposing the Vong as an alternative idea for the sequel trilogy because I remember those books initially being hated by the fandom (granted, some of that was due to a certain character having a moon dropped on them)
