@kayleigh.snell01: Got to use my new meat masher (think that’s what its called 😂) makes life so much easier A meat masher (sometimes called a mince chopper) looks simple, but it actually makes a noticeable difference when you’re cooking minced meat. Here’s why people swear by them: 1. Faster, even breaking up Instead of chasing lumps around the pan with a spoon, the masher’s multiple blades break the mince up quickly and evenly. You get that fine, crumbly texture without much effort. 2. Better texture It helps avoid big clumps, which means your mince cooks more consistently. This is especially useful for dishes like bolognese, chilli, or taco filling where you want a smooth, even mix. 3. More even cooking Smaller, evenly sized pieces = fewer undercooked bits and less overcooked dryness. Everything browns at a similar rate. 4. Less strain on your wrist Because it’s designed to press and crumble, you don’t need to constantly stir and press with force like you would with a wooden spoon. 5. Works beyond mince You can also use it for: • Mashing potatoes or sweet potatoes • Breaking up ground turkey or plant-based mince • Mixing softer foods like beans or avocado 6. Keeps your pan safer Most are made with silicone or nylon heads, so they’re gentler on non-stick pans than metal utensils. When it’s most useful • Cooking large batches • Using higher-fat mince (which clumps more) • When you want a finer texture (like for meal prep or feeding kids) If you cook mince often, it’s one of those small tools that actually earns its place in the drawer. whilst making my chilli con carne which was made using @colmansco spice mix. #fyp #cookwithme #cook #FoodTok #mealideas
