@ohsnapitsbeck: one day shy of 14 weeks but we are busy tomorrow 🤣 our current struggle is wanting to default to a sit now that we’re working on sit for obedience class #DogTraining #australianshepherd #puppytraining #showdog
Hi! We were recently gifted an Aussie but he’s really overweight! Any tips? I want to give our good boy the best life he can. Soon I’ll be going on morning walks with him for about an hour or so

Front feet should always be moved back never forward. They put them back where they are comfortable and they will post if you bring them forward. Hocks in the back aren’t 100% up and down so if you bring them back just a smidge you’ve got a perfect stack! Teach them to lean forward without moving their legs and stay in a stack for a while, most dogs will try sitting if they smell bait

looks great! those back feet could be his slightly further back and then you’ll be unstoppable! also if you wanna pull your bait just a tad back your dog might lean into the stack more 💕
