Not an apples to apples scenario. Where was the family that the poor rich man had to feed and provide for. If the scenario was exactly the same then this makes sense. If there is ANY ADVANTAGE then it’s not an equal comparison. comparison.

There is a quiet strength in knowing who you are. Be humble enough to know you can be replaced. Positions can be filled. Responsibilities can be handed over. Someone else can take your seat, carry your title, lead the team, preach the message, run the organisation, or continue the work after you are gone. Never become so attached to your position that you begin to believe you are indispensable. But at the same time, be wise enough to know that there is nobody else exactly like you. There may be people who are more talented than you in certain areas. Someone may speak better, lead better, understand things faster, have more resources, or even accomplish what you thought only you could accomplish. That should not diminish you. Because your value was never found in being the only person who could do something. Your uniqueness is found in how you carry your story, your character, your experiences, your gifts, your convictions, your failures, your lessons, your scars, your compassion, and the way you touch the lives of others. Someone can replace your position, but they cannot reproduce your journey. Someone can take over your responsibility, but they cannot become you. Someone can continue the work, but they cannot tell your story exactly as you tell it. And this is where humility and confidence must meet. Humility says:

Because your value was never found in being the only person who could do something. Your uniqueness is found in how you carry your story, your character, your experiences, your gifts, your convictions, your failures, your lessons, your scars, your compassion, and the way you touch the lives of others. Someone can replace your position, but they cannot reproduce your journey. Someone can take over your responsibility, but they cannot become you. Someone can continue the work, but they cannot tell your story exactly as you tell it. And this is where humility and confidence must meet. Humility says: "I am not indispensable." Wisdom says: "But I am not insignificant." Do not confuse being replaceable with being worthless. You can leave a position and still leave an impact. You can be replaced in a role and still be deeply remembered. You can step aside and still know that your contribution mattered. The healthiest people are neither threatened by replacement nor obsessed with proving their uniqueness. They serve faithfully while they are entrusted with something, knowing that everything they have is ultimately a gift. They build others instead of competing with them. They prepare successors instead of creating dependence. They celebrate the success of others instead of feeling diminished by it. And when their season ends, they can walk away with peace because they know they gave what they were meant to give. Your goal should not be to make people unable to function without you. Your goal should be to make such a meaningful contribution that your presence makes a difference—and when you leave, the good you planted continues to grow. So remain humble. Remain teachable. Remain secure. Do not spend your life trying to prove that you are better than everyone else. But never spend it apologising for being uniquely you either. You are not the only one who can do the work. But there is only one you. Be replaceable in your position. Be dependable in your character. Be generous with your gifts. Be faithful with your assignment. And while you are here, leave something behind that could not have been left in quite the same way without you. Humble enough to be replaced. Wise enough to know you are one of one. #OneOfOne #Humility #Wisdom #Purpose #Authenticity
