Leave them some food and water near it. It’s probably scared and will venture out on their own. Give them time and eventually they’ll get comfortable

You don’t. You just keep living your life, talk to the cat as if it’s normal feed them get them water and in 1-2 weeks they will come to you. With cats you need to build routine and trust.

let him hide, just leave food and water out, sit near him for 10 minutes multiple times a day but don’t interact with him, just chill near him for awhile until he gets comfortable enough to get out and go near you. My cat did the same thing when he came home and now he doesn’t leave me alone lol

My cat did this. Leave it alone. Took three days but he became so clingy and cuddly randomly after like three days. Cats just need space and they’ll come to you.
