The "discount" is literally just the normal price .... Insurance in the USA is basically a scam due to deals between Insurance companies and hospitals/ medical companies. Insurance says 'I know this pill costs $0.50 to make so let's sell it to insured patients in hospitals for $350/pill but normally costs $10/30pills at a pharmacy (Advil/Tylenol).

Same shit in Australia if you have private health insurance. Pay hundreds every month and then thousands out of pocket if you need surgery, go to a public hospital without insurance and it cost zero.

The one thing that our taxes in Canada don’t pay for is an ambulance ride and it’s 75 bucks everything else is covered for by our taxes and you have to pay parking. America sucks

I just had a ct scan done hospital billed my insurance over 8,000$ I owe over 1,000$ same scan out of pocket at an imaging center is only $690 🤦🏻♂️
