@amber_rn81: I know this might not be what everyone wants to hear… but we were not meant to work our lives away. I’ve done it. Years of long shifts as a nurse… weekends, holidays… missing time with my family I can’t get back. And here we are… years later… same jobs, same pay… but everything else costs more. It just doesn’t add up anymore. We were taught the “safe” path… go to school, get a stable job, work hard… but what happens when that “stability” isn’t actually stable? I learned that the hard way after getting laid off… twice. That’s when I realized I needed something of my own. Not to replace everything overnight… but to build something that could actually grow.
