Right now, hospitality is brutal — and so many good people are quietly struggling behind the scenes. So I jumped on the first flight I could. Meet @lisaluluhe and her mum… and they are some of the kindest, hardest-working people I’ve come across. You can feel how much they care in every dish. They’ve even got a 3-course lunch for £9.75 — which is almost unheard of right now — plus a full menu if you want to go bigger. But here’s what you don’t see… They’re in at 10am prepping, serve lunch till 3pm, back again from 7pm–midnight, then spend 2 more hours cleaning and cashing up. Most nights, they’re not sleeping until 2–3am… and doing it all over again the next day.
