This little girl is 6, and with a baby under 1 year? No, I could never. I have a 7, 11 and 14 year old. My 11 year old could only stay home if my 14 year old is home. They both are mature for their age and are very responsible. I know my 11 year old is capable of being by herself for a little bit but due to her age I just much prefer her to not be alone. I have a camera in the kitchen and living room that I check often when they're home and I am out running errands. My 7 year old on the other hand, I take that little girl with me every where I go. I just don't think she's quite ready yet to stay back with her older siblings. I don't care what anyone says, this 6 year old is definitely not capable of taking care of a baby under 1. 😔

i didn't start leaving my kids alone at home until 11-12 years old. I'd never leave my oldest to take care of my youngest.

Fun fact: Some US states don't have a minimum age requirement for kids to be left at home with no adult supervision. PA for example, is one of those states. The child or children have know how to safely provide food and drinks for their self and younger siblings, know emergency numbers, and parent/caretaker information (name, phone number, work, work number etc). A 6 year old, depending on how they are raised, would be more than capable of taking care of a younger sibling and their self. 🤷🏻♀️
