I have never done this to my husband. that's so illogical. Plus I HATE the blame game. And as hard as it is to not get defensive, I don't, when he's telling me about something I did that he didn't like or was unhappy with. If he points out a fault I don't resort to pointing out one of his because what's the point? It is extremely uncomfortable to be under the spotlight of being called out but instead of lashing out I take it and think it over and then we have a conversation. He does the same for me. Thank God I have the marriage that I have!

all the time...I once got blamed for a 2L falling out of the fridge....I was gone that night...kids put it in the fridge....so I didn't put it in, I didn't open the door, I wasn't even there....but I get a phone call and screamed at because it was somehow my fault....the only way I can process it and not implode my entire life is by turning it into a mental game. any time she blames me for something that is clearly not my fault I try to figure out what super power(s) I would need to actually make it happen and be my fault. it's odd but it makes it less real and depressing.

I don't think I've noticed my girlfriend doing this, but my ex did this a lot. As far as apologizing, even my current girlfriend only apologizes when I specifically point out something obvious that hurt my feelings. At least she does that, but I never get spontaneous, unprompted apologies. And she's the best I've ever had at apologizing. I don't even want to talk about my any of my exes track record for apologizing.

Weekly. Toilet paper, kid toy on floor, no more coffee cream, cant find hair brush, shoes left in car, no meat pulled out of freezer, late for school, bad work meeting, etc. We get it all and it sucks. Badly.
