I think it’s nice how they do it here. Most kindergartens make them a crown, fly the Norwegian flag and put a picture of the birthday kids out front. The 2 we’ve been to serve smoothies, ice cream, or something the kids chooses. They make them feel very special on their day 🙂 (equally special)

I've been working in a kindergarten all my life and parents have always brought with them cakes or icecream for their b/d kids. And we always make a special crown for the kid and a poster with a picture and happy birthday wishes.

So sad.is I guess it is not a private kindergarten? Our kids went to private kindergarten and it was not a problem to bring cake or ice cream and such.
