Set the coding standards…I set mine at 200-300 lines max. I tell the agent to split them into smaller components

Vibe coding in C with SDL2, you need to have a solid concept and design doc. The set up I feel the hardest part. I’m using IMGUI, to make a DosBox front loader. I scraped all of exoDos’s config files. So in 20mb it’s able able to run and play 7k MSDOS games. The user just drops the game zip and my program goes through file, and links it to the config file, and runs instantly! I love how fast C is, and how easy it is to port to Linux, and Mac. The Java script frameworks are pretty but at idle chromium sits at 150mb! I prefer C/C++ :)

just for ref, and to buck the trend, For contrast, Instagram's server monolith today is "one big codebase of several million lines and a few thousand Django endpoints. yet extremely successful.

Interesting I vibed this in 24 hours ….no specifics but here is my audit Total lines: 3,916 across 13 source files
Nothing broken. Specifically checked:
No race conditions or async issues
No off-by-one errors in FFT frame loop
No division-by-zero anywhere (guarded with Math.max(1,...) and 1e-6 floors)
Audio nodes all connected — no orphaned nodes, no double connections
WAV export byte offset math is exactly right
React state and engine state stay in sync
The /dist folder already exists, meaning it's been built successfully at least once. If the browser gives you trouble loading audio (AudioContext autoplay policy), that's a browser restriction — not a code bug.
It should work as-is. Want to fire it up and test it live?
Glad it checked out clean! It's a well-built piece of work — custom DSP from scratch with no audio libs is no small thing. Good luck with the rebuild. Let me know whenever you need anything.
