As a teacher, I do not suggest you do this unless you will be chaperoning the trip. The kids either give the money to other students, or they lose it. They have no idea that money has value.

People are being so rude in the comments... There are nicer ways to say things. Momma... take the time to make your baby look presentable when going somewhere. Not to be rude .. we are a village .. Target sweater would have been cute.. and not too hot. She needs her hair done... Some Barrettes... and she doesn't seem like she knows what to do with all that money or like it's a normal occurrence and you had a conversation with her or you sat down and spend the quality time to speak to her in this type of situation. $20 or $40 would have been fine for her and her age range because kids will be kids... that's all. It's all said with Love... Friend...🥰

As an educator, we usually do not allow bringing money on zoo field trips as we don't allow outside purchases. It complicates things and results in some students feeling left out. Plus, when a child inevitably lose the money parents get mad at us for somehow not knowing what happened to it.
