No that is not how it works. if Stephanie wants open Stephanie's Ice Cream..then Yes. But you don't get to make your own rules when your in a franchise.

I get buying into a franchise but she is the owner. She should be allowed to set hours.

Holland is also a small town! Extended hours don’t make sense everywhere

I feel really bad for her. I’m sure she’s just a struggling mom who doesn’t mean any harm and childcare is very expensive. I hope her and her family are doing ok.

As someone who works 100yds from a Rita's, there is no need to be open at 12pm m-f until school lets out. Summer? Sure. But during school days - absolutely not.

Who would open a franchise and not know who the CEO is? I don’t believe it.

As a franchisee, no. You are representing the company of whom make the policy and rules of the company. Open your ice cream store if you want to do what you want to do

None of your opinions matter here. If you buy a franchise, you’ll have to operate under the franchise rules. That’s it if you wanna open an ice cream shop then open an ice cream shop and make your own rules

Franchisees AGREE IN A CONTRACT to follow corporate rules and procedures. Franchise corporations are ALWAYS chasing franchisees like this. No matter the brand.
