@fromrusttoroadtrip: no heating. -14ºC ❄️ this is our solution. It was our third night camping in Iceland, and each night had been colder than the last. 
We were chilled to our bones after a full day on the road, the van frozen inside and out. You’d think we would’ve prepared better— installed a diesel heater, insulated properly– but we didn’t. And honestly? Without this little fire, we wouldn’t have coped. The cold isn’t something you can ignore— it has to be endured, respected, survived.
And somehow… that’s what makes it feel so alive. Those long dark evenings, cooking on the flames, warming up slowly… even in -14ºC, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. #wintercamping #wildcamping #vanlife #vanlifetravel #woodstove #icelandadventure #wintertime
