I wasted so much time holding on, trying to help him heal from his past traumas until I had to accept he would never change as he wasn’t prepared to do anything and now a few months on I find out he’s already moved on. That hurts so much more 😢

Not only this and it ripping my soul apart for being the one who chose to leave- but we agreed to (and did) stay friends, and then he cut me off out of the blue one day, over a text, because he started seeing someone else who was too insecure to deal with an ex being a friend. I lost the person I loved, then my best friend too.
