don't have problem with sinks but when I switch washing machine on I get a bit of an eggy smell for about 30 seconds 😂

Does it work on showers? We've checked and there isn't anything stuck in the plug hole but every time one of us showers, the water just rises as if it's going to overflow but once the shower is turned off the water will go down but slowly.
