I think Neytiri probably developed “prairie madness” from being so used to the forest where there is so much plant life for miles on end. Whereas the ocean clans it’s just miles and miles of open water and not much plant life. It would have been a very difficult mental shift for Neytiri having to learn a new clans ways and having to learn to rely heavily on the ocean instead of the forest. That why I wish in the second movie we got to see her adjusting to the Metkayina clan since we got to see the rest of the Sully’s adjusting. It is a shame we didn’t see her adjusting since she is probably the most traumatized by the move.
