men cannot be lesbians. whether they are cis or trans. it's as simple as that. it's not "us" invalidating the person when the label was created for a reason. women loving women/non-men loving non-men. if you identify as a binary male, you literally cannot identify as a lesbian. some of you are so scared of identifying as straight or bi/pan it's ridiculous. "gay" on the other hand is a broader term. some lesbian women use it, or queer people will use gay too. but if a trans woman said she identifies as a gay man that literally isn't possible + contradicts the entire point of identifying as a woman

friendly reminder that just because you don't understand something that doesn't mean it's bad!!! it just means you don't get it and it's not for you specifically. Chances are, it's for a tiny TINY demographic that won't affect you in the slightest no matter what labels they use. You can stay closed minded if you want to so bad, but you don't get to tell people what to do with their own labels as if you are the queer-experience police.

every other trans person i met hated me because i don't identify as trans. I'm a really effeminate man and 95% of the time i interact with strangers they think I'm a girl. i "pass" without even trying and the amount of bs i get from people is staggering
