Wait are they played by the same person? The two doctors?

I knew it would happen because I read the book, but I was actually kinda worried going in. I feel like they handled it very well

I’m kind of surprised that women in Gilead are allowed to be left alone with men that they aren’t related to. (I know it needs to happen to move the plot along) but I feel like if Gilead was real, and there are aspects of it in real life now, the guardian or pearl would’ve been in the room with her. But that’s not saying they would have any power to stop him.

this was a horrifying scene, i’m SO glad they didn’t make it as graphic as it was in the book. i don’t think i would have been able to watch. 😢 also, on a lighter note, what’s your perspective on becka? i’m sure i noticed a vibe between her and agnes during their lil dance

This ending made me scream at the TV; I felt Agnes's panic and fear, even knowing what was going to happen. I read that this scene can show us that even when you're surrounded by "people you trust," like her Pearl and her guardian outside, they can't do anything to protect her.

i started the episode thinking "aww Agnes and Becka are so adorable together 🥺" i finished the episode crying, it was truly a horrifying scene, and it's worst when you remember that Margaret Atwood never wrote nothing that haven't already happened on our reality 😢

you know what's funny? pelvic exams in japan, in my experience, included this weird curtain so you couldn't see the doctor and stirrups that opened your legs automatically. I found it so traumatising I cried

Watching the 4th episode of The Testaments at the beginning we see 3 Mayday people hanging, one of them was pretending to be a martha before she was executed and I noticed she had red, curly hair... Just like Janine... Do you think this is just an easter egg or she really must have been Janine? If it was Janine and Daisy is Janine's daughter (I hope she isn't because I want Janine and her daughter to live a happy, unbothered life after The Handmaid's Tale, plus I want Daisy to be Nicole/Holly as that's her true identity in the book) that would explain why Daisy admitted that both her birth and adoptive mothers d¡ed

Also with how Giliad make it look like its the woman or girl fault, she will now possibly question everything, how she acted etc. She doesnt even know that much about sex or her own body, only marriage, baby, rape.
But didnt they in the books didnt even know what rape is? Becaudr of the story where woman was rape and they said she gone with a man or something like that?

As a queer cis male that has been saed n m0lesed and having grown up in a christian cult not ever wanted to be outed I was outed by my doctor and i seriously thought i would be unalived, being unalived would have been less cruel than being sent to “conversion therapy” where again I was M0lesed by the “therapist” scenes like this are triggersome for me but also validating that others can recognized this is F-ed Up yet it happens everyday to a lot of us.
