Honestly season 6.5 onward since Elsa was added the game has only gotten worse and worse. Balance has been absolutely terrible. Matchmaking at an all time low. This last season which was season 7 literally was the worst season imo because with even more bans and balance "fixes" it just became even more unbalanced. If 6 bans isn't enough you know it's bad and with the community deciding to ban all supports regardless what your team is doing it made every single game basically a coin flip on if you got the good or bad supports. Every game it felt like there was a solo tank. In my opinion every single map they've added since Phoenix has been considerably worse than the ones that existed before. Since gambit we have had elsa, DP, white fox, and black cat who aside from black cat at least for now have been the most broken characters in the game and still are and it isn't even close. Like I'm sorry but I can't say the game got better when they release the most broken heroes and ruin the game by doing so 🤷🏻‍♂️if they learned it would be one thing but they still continue to release them broken and then not fix them with patch updates. Combine not having enough bans cause too many characters are broken, with an awful comp decision to ban healers, with maps getting worse, along with having too many crutch characters that need nerfs like thing or hela Namor teamup, and top it off with the game being FLOODED with skins as sorta a bandaid to the real issues and I can genuinely say since Phoenix joined the game each season just got worse and worse. Character design too became lazy. Just give everybody everything and make all the old characters so much worse by comparison that not playing meta is basically throwing. Rogue is the only balanced hero since Phoenix and they ruined her with the cc update. So yeah I'd say 7.5 is by far the worst season yet. Maybe 6.5 just cause Elsa felt like a slap in the face but personally tbh DP is such a horrible decision that I think that's when I gave up on the game being balanced. Giving somebody 3 forms that you basically can't ban along with all his lame gimmicks in his kit I just gave up there
