don’t split it and don’t twist it together, unraveling is normal, once your locs starts maturing it will loc up

You could use the stabby tool or just braid the very ends

At a certain point I combed the ends out and twist it like a coil and it stayed because my locs was doing the same thing when I first started if you have a looser Texture try this it might help

yes using that tool will work, ur hair looks recently started so waiting it out will also work like just don’t look at it for a while especially if u just did it yesterday no need to rush the process. but personally I would split that one into 2 bc as it matures it will get thicker

So Ive tried two methods one would be combing the ends of your loc to get enough hair to braid, I would twist the beginning but braided towards the end so it would stay or I twisted them together and put a rubber band at the end lmao

I had a couple like that too. One of kept as like a dragon tail or w/e lol, but the others I just used that crochet hook tool you’re talking about to combine.. like in this video https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTkafqXVu/

I cut one of the split and keep them just in case I need my own loc extension 🫣 Mine were fully mature though. The locing tool should work though but make sure you watch a tutorial so you aren’t “stabbing through” it’s more of a wrapping motion.

I just left as is and they came together when they were ready. I don’t rush the process because I’m lazy and because it’ll figure itself out there’s no need to stress over locs
