@mr.concierge101: They told him Jannah (Paradise) is filled with rewards beyond imagination… but his heart only longs for his wife (May Allah have mercy on her and make it easy for him). A man who loved once, deeply, sincerely, for the sake of Allah (God). A real husband says, I don’t ask for the hoor al-‘ayn (companions of Paradise), I ask for my wife. The one I made du‘aa (supplication) with, the one I prayed (salah) beside, the one I hoped to meet Allah with. Allah says, ‘Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in happiness’ (Qur’an 43:70). And the Prophet ﷺ (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us that love rooted in faith (iman) will be reunited by Allah’s mercy. But somewhere along the way, love was redefined. Culture made men and women feel trapped in marriages…”what will people say”. Culture and Islam are two different things. What was once mercy (rahmah), tranquility (sakinah), and loyalty has been replaced with ego, options, and excuses. Even parents are to blame because reputation and culture mean more to them than Islam. Some misuse what Allah permitted, turning polygyny (marrying more than one wife) into a justification for their own selfless desires and use Islam as an excuse, calling it Sunnah without carrying its justice, real reasoning, responsibility, or fear of Allah (taqwa). And women, seeing this imbalance, this instability, this performance of love without depth, begin to protect themselves. They seek security before sincerity, independence before intimacy, like they’re already preparing for an ending before a beginning. This is not the love Islam taught us. Real love is choosing one another for Allah (God), staying when it is hard, being just when it is easy to be selfish, and hoping, above all, to be reunited where hearts never break, in Jannat al-Firdaws (the highest level of Paradise). May Allah (God) purify our understanding of love, grant us sincerity in our marriages, let us be a means of going to Jannah for our spouses, make them the coolness of our eyes, and reunite those who loved for His sake in Jannah (Paradise). May Allah protect us, guide us, increase our knowledge and make it easy for us all. Ameen Ameen Ameen 🤲🏼❤️
