A portable charger will be your best friend, keep one in your bag and always bring it with you. As someone who studied abroad in a country where there are not commonly outlets in public, it literally saved my life!!! Always let your leadership (for us we had campus managers, but this will be different since you’re on a boat), know when you get off if you are going somewhere for a weekend trip where you’re going and the place you are going to be staying with their number (that way if you don’t make it back for class or something happens they can help you). Always carry a bit of cash in the currency, just like 100 dollar equivalent in case of emergency or your card doesn’t work. I’m have so much advice as I just got back from my study abroad and I literally went in blind.

buy one euro adaptor (for the ship) and one international that changes for each port…some people buy a britta because she water on the ship is chlorinated and has a kinda weird taste…you will really not need stationary on sas it’s all online (moodle) literally just a pen for finals is all…buy a hdmi cord for movie nights in your cabin…mostly just soak up every second it goes by so fast and is the best experience of your life SAS FOREVER🫶🏼🫶🏼

I did study abroad and it was SO amazing i would bring less clothes than you’d want because you’ll end up going to so many places that you’ll have a whole new wardrobe 😋

Bring an extra packing cube and put all the gifts you buy in it so you always have a spot for them, get post cards everywhere, and get the same item (key chain magnate, post card, bracelet, shot glass or something else) in each country to mark where you went with a collectible. Get a journal with no lines to add stickers, photos, and receipts from places you went. Receipts are a cool way to see where you went and easy to get. Never say no to an opportunity because it could be the best time and do something’s alone because you will learn so much!

okay so this might be a lot but i studied abroad and i created a pinterest board for each trip with inspo pics. i also made a whole doc of what i wanted to do at each place including like tourist attractions, foods, stores. i collected post cards and put them all into a frame. i journaled and vlogged every trip. but honestly living in the moment bc before you know it you’ll be back home 😭
