The 610 loop in Houston recently switched. I noticed it because of a video like this. Then I was driving past the intersection of 290 and 610 I could see the LEDs on 290 and the sodium lights on 610. Probably something about 610 being an interstate and 290 a US Highway.

LED is horrible for our health. We need our old lighting back.

Yes, LED’s are efficient and the right move. But they make LED’s with warm spectrum light. The cool light spectrum is a (bad) choice.

Should’ve used yellow LEDs. Or even those that we can change colors, I’d love to see blue colored streets

Warm Sodium Vapour lights are easier to see as it’s closer to the colour spectrum we perceive. While LED is brighter the beam is focused it’s also filtered and compressed making it polarized

It still gives off a lot of light pollution I think after the quick Google I did, it even gives off more light pollution

White leds are worse why would they go from a decent environmentally safe lighting to worse???😭😭 Makes no sense. It literally looks like a hospital at night and those lights hurts your eyes and makes you tired
