Car payments unfortunately these days are the only way some of us can get reliable transportation. It woukd take me forever to save up enough to buy a good used reliable car especially in this economy.

We live in a paid off home, we drive debt free nice vehicles, we own real estate, we have investment accounts, and we live in a very average middle class home. We make sure no one knows what we have because we don’t plan on loaning it to anyone lol.

Kid you not, I was about 21yr old living in a low working class neighborhood struggling to pay bills driving a hoopdie. It was old junkie, but it got me from A to B. I'm sitting on my front porch looking around my neighborhood, wondering how people can afford these cars. What is their job? I was feeling kind of low so I said some prayers. Kid you not while I was sitting there a repo truck came up and took one of those vehicles I was admiring 😂 I learned a valuable lesson that morning. 1. Don't covet your neighbors stuff and 2. God let me know He provided me a paid off vehicle. I changed my tune real quick. It started being thankful for what I had. God is great!

Your comment about buying cars is harsh and unrealistic . How do you get to work with out a car?

half disagree on the car loan. if you can afford a 50k car, you don't have to buy it in cash. you just need to outperform the loan. debt is a means to let you exercise your capital to generate more wealth. if you take a 5% loan on 40k over 5years, you only need to average a 13% return over 5 years

Best thing I ever did was prioritize a 401k starting at age 20.. grows slow at first but 30+ years later.. best way to guarantee financial freedom 😎

I basically agree with everything except the car payment. You need dependable transportation to get back and forth to work. It doesn’t have to be a vehicle that you love so try and keep it conservative but it’s unreasonable for most working class people to have enough cash to buy a decent vehicle

Things you should never do as an adult - judge other people for how they spend their money. If they aren’t asking you to pay their bills, it’s none of your business.

Everything goes down in value, i dont think that buying a reliable car that will last a decade or two is a bad financial decision, especially if that car will be the only one and won’t be swapped for a different one

Disagree. As a business owner people judge the viability of my business partially by the the vehicle I drive. If I have an expensive car, they calculate my business is doing well. If I drive a cheap car, they figure my company is struggling. This has been expressed to me by my customers.

Until you have experienced financial hardship, you should be more compassionate towards others who are having trouble
