I think navigating a romantic relationship while being teammates, especially when both are stars, is a legitimate basketball question. It was Paige that made their relationship public. It’s not like he’s asking a question based on rumors. And even if she doesn’t want to talk about it, Axios can answer that question for herself.

if the W wants to be a serious league, they need to handle these situations better. Azzi is incredibly good with the media, I think if she had been given the ability to answer she would have had a great answer ready to go and this would all be a nothing burger.

Just because you can ask whatever questions you want, doesn’t mean you should. Being a public figure doesn’t mean you owe people information about your life. Paige and Azzi have been prioritizing their teamwork on the court for years over their relationship. They have and always will remain professional. Azzi worked hard for this draft. So frustrating to continue watching them focus on her relationship, especially since Paige has purposefully stepped back so Azzi can shine in her own light.
