My dad is a survivor. It hurts me that a lot of people don’t know much or anything about the Khmer Rouge. My dad suffers from terrible ptsd, and now in his 50s he is only recently opening up about his experience during this time in Cambodia. It is absolutely gut wrenching

I don't know much about what happened. But, what I do know is I had a classmate in my senior thesis class in college who was Cambodian. He said his earliest memory was holding his mother's hand as they ran for their lives. They both survived and made it to America. That has always stuck with me.
