I’m sure people are going to disagree with me. But I literally would not have tipped after that interaction. There’s a difference between not knowing something which is acceptable, and being completely rude, which is unacceptable.

I asked a server which margarita was her favorite and she goes “oh no. I don’t drink..let me get another server for you!” I told her no no no! I don’t want a new server!” But she was already gone, and I never saw her at our table again. I felt terrible but the manager came by and apologized. Apparently her table right before us cussed her out for not knowing the alcohol. I found her after and gave her $20 because I felt terrible for asking a question that set her off. She had the biggest smile on after that. I hope her night got better after that.

I have a whole collection of $2 bills because whenever my mom (who is a waitress) would get one she would give it to me. started when I was a kid and I love it. after I moved out to started giving them to my twin little sisters. I don't think I could ever get rid of them
