"I bet it was so hot!" Natural fibers. The clothes literally cooled you! People nowadays wear 100% polyester hoodies in summer so it's not far fetched that a couple layers of thin cotton were comfortable in the heat

Unless you are tight lacing a corset is incredibly comfortable to wear. More comfortable than a bra.

I am taking a authentic historical reenactment class, and it's for seamstresses and it's called fashion history.They only have a few pages in there.That cover this.And of course that three hundred dollar book has no patterns.Can you recommend something for a new beginner
