I've found as someone who's acne prone a zinc oxide cream applied as a mask for an hour or so then washed off in the shower before bed you can get a lot of the benefits without the clogging if your skin is struggling

Zinc oxide literally helps with acne. In my experience with acne prone skin i never had issue using cicalfate every night as a mask

But what about zinc oxide sunscreen like Elta MD? It’s not supposed to cause breakouts but my skin ALWAYS breaks out with it. I don’t know what facial sunscreen to use.
