Theory was that a person keeps his cpf untounched, park, move and top up to the max for Ordinary and Special accounts since young. But now, rules have changed that after 55 years old, there is no special account for 4% interest rates. Also, many normal Singaporeans need to use cpf to buy HDB flats. Not that many can pay cash upfront.

Agreed on the share buying and selling. Once in a while and wait for years. I have my two ex-companies employee shares for 20+ years, because of AI boom, these shares now skyrocket from few k to few hundred k.
