Yes lol. But I’ve gotten to the point where friendships and romantic relationships are very similar in the sense that the effort needs to be mutual. I refuse to give any energy where it is not reciprocated. And I do give chances, I will bring up my feelings and give them the opportunity to explain or show up differently and if it doesn’t change, I will let it go. I’m never going to beg anyone for anything 🤷🏻♀️

I was the one who built that circle, the friend they could always call, the shoulder they leaned on. Yet when I needed them most, no one showed up not even a single shadow appeared in front of me. I chose to let my guard down to understand them in every possible way—even if it meant suppressing my own emotions. We spent half of our lives together, so it was never easy to throw away everything. I endured years of silence, convincing myself it was just a phase, that someday we’d laugh about it when we were older. But I’ve come to realize I was the only one willing to keep that friendship alive. Indeed, actions speak louder than words. Now we’re all happy living our own lives, but sometimes I wonder how much happier we could’ve been if we had simply talked things through. There are times I can’t help but ask myself—do they think about it too?
