@filmenthusiast: Maverick is coming back. Paramount confirmed at CinemaCon last night that Top Gun 3 is officially in development, with a script already underway, Tom Cruise returning as Pete Mitchell and Jerry Bruckheimer back as producer. Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is also returning to pen the screenplay, though no director has been announced yet. Top Gun: Maverick grossed $1.5 billion worldwide in 2022, becoming one of the biggest films of that decade and the film Steven Spielberg personally credited with saving the theatrical business after the pandemic. 40 years since the original. Are you excited for this one? ✈️
