My younger brothers are twins. When they were at school my mum requested they be in different classes so that they could develop individually and not be constantly compared to each other.

As the mom of identical twins, this sounds crazy. Mine are grown now. And very different. I dressed them the same a lot when they were young because it was easier. As they got older and developed differently, I let them be themselves. They are individuals.

Me and my sister are identical twins and we couldn’t stand each other growing up. We figured it out and get along great now that we are older but it would have been very difficult if our mom expected us to want to do everything together

As an identical twin this makes me so uncomfortable 🫠 regardless if twins are identical or fraternal, they need to be able to become their own selves. My twin and I used to love dressing the same as kids but as we grew up we found our own style and aesthetic.

Even pediatrician don't advise that you dress twins the same. You should give them the chance to develop their own personalities and tastes.
