@notenoughspacetalk: What happens when intelligence reaches its ultimate limit? 🤯 w/ Brian Cox In this thought-provoking talk, Professor Brian Cox explores one of the most fascinating questions in science: could life ever become so advanced that it begins to shape the universe itself? From the origins of consciousness to the far future of civilizations, this discussion dives into the boundaries between physics, biology, and possibility. Could technology evolve to the point where it influences cosmic structures? Is intelligence just a fleeting phenomenon, or could it become a fundamental force in the universe? And what does this mean for humanity’s future? Join us as we journey through deep time, explore the limits of scientific understanding, and challenge what we think is possible. 🔔 Follow for more science and space content 👍 Like if you enjoy big questions about the universe 💬 Share your thoughts: Can life ever control the cosmos? #BrianCox #Universe #Science #Cosmology #Future

This leans heavily into Freeman Dyson’s eternal intelligence theories. If life can manipulate the cosmos, entropy might not be the final answer. ⏳🧠

You can use Ai to edit DNA to create super humans who can grow wings and fly, breathe underwater, possibly survive the harsh conditions in space.

Amazing but I'm pretty sure 2029 will be our last year based on how it's going

If the billion year period doesn't see a radical growth in human altruism, changes to the large scale behaviour of the universe will be exploitative, routed in conflict, and to the detriment of any other forms of life in the cosmos that obstruct the aims of the powerful and their profits. We are appalling stewards of our only current planet - yes, Brian ... I can well imagine what we could do ... and none of it is good ... 😐

how about you imagine universal healthcare while you're at it so we can get to 1 billion years as a society

i'm not that hopeful about the future. not optimistic about humans actions. we earthers boobytrap our own home planet with nuclear weapons to possibly destroy each other
