@guthealthdoc: I can only imagine the frustration and disappointment this 21 year old patient must have gone through after failed biologics such as infliximab, ustekinumab, ozanimod, vedolizumab, upadacitinib and mirikizumab. To then reach drug free remission must have felt quite amazing. I hope this is replicated in more patients… and that we develop simpler treatments that can achieve the same effect because this gives us a new way of controlling the immune response. I will be looking out closely for those studies, and I am quite sure they will come. #ulcerativecolitis #cartcelltherapy #ibd #carttherapy #dubaihealth
interesting! This is just making me think why are IBD treatments usually first approved/ studied for UC and then crohn’s?

Hello Doctor,
I recently had CAR-T treatment for my scleroderma and ILD. I am experiencing significant gastrointestinal issues.
Could you please advise what I should do?
Thank you.

Hi Doctor, is there any research for using CAR -T with Crohn’s patients? If yes, how effective is it? I have failed several biologics. Currently on Rinvoq and Vedo but my Crohn’s is affecting my joints.

Whats ur thoughts on Remicade and shortening the infusion to 4 weeks instead of 8. Does that mean the medication is failing? My colonoscopy showed this Overall improvement in colitis information on current biologic therapy however ongoing evidence of some inflammation in the left colon that will warrant a combination of shorter duration between Remdantry infusion and steroid foam enemas. If this fails then consider switching to different biologic. Patient to follow-up with endoscopist in 1 month's time.
Adjust biologic infusion to every 4 weeks as opposed to every 8 weeks.
