@richabraham369: Save this and share with friends. Plyometrics wasn’t invented. It was discovered. Yuri Verkhoshansky, a Soviet sports scientist, identified that explosive power increases when a rapid eccentric load is immediately followed by a concentric contraction. This is the stretch-shortening cycle. Elastic energy stored in tendons + reflexive neural activation = greater force output. He called it the “shock method.” The West later renamed it plyometrics. This is the foundation of explosive strength, speed, jumping ability, and athletic power. Follow for more training principles. #plyometrics #explosivestrength #sportscience #training
