i have to disagree, she definitely was other'd during bangers and that whole era. i remember growing up around that time and you couldn't escape people talking down on her, it was genuinely horrible and i feel so bad she was treated that way.

for me, shes a gay icon because when I was growing up Hannah Montana was such a big part of my life and understanding myself as a queer person, like she was part of the Britney Spears, Kesha, Totally Spies era of my life where it was safe for me to explore femininity and safely question my own sexuality
