also, a fact about her first marathon: right after running the marathon she discovered the front page of the Boston News which titled that a woman ran the Boston Marathon for the first time, but didn’t finish it. She finished the marathon so she tracked the reporter to ask him why he wrote that she didn’t finish the race. He had to send his article really fast so it could print in time to make the news the day after and didn’t have the time to wait for the results: he just assumed she wouldn’t finish the marathon.
