My work book club did Prescription for Pain: How a Once-Promising Doctor Became the "Pill Mill Killer" which I feel would be a good follow up to the one about the Sackler Dynasty

Read Nanking a couple months ago and when my friend asked if it was a good read. But saying yes or no didnt feel right? Couldn't say it was a good or bad read but rather it felt like something i NEEDED to read. That It was hard to stomach, but I am glad I read it regardless.

Of this list, I’ve read two! Empire of Pain and The Rape of Nanking, both of which were five stars for me. It spurred me to work my way through Keefe’s bibliography!

Nanking was hard to stomach, made me feel so uneasy. It's not an easy read but it should be a mandatory read.
