Is it safe to assume that if my lower back doesn’t hurt after hack squats I’m not doing a butt wink? I’ve been trying to tighten my core and keep my back pressed against the pad to avoid any back pain. When I first started my lower back would hurt at time but it’s been a month and no lower back. I’m hitting legs twice a week

I had someone tell my I may be hyper mobile because I keep having real weird knee pain with squats. I KNOW my quads can handle the weight but sometime I set up and my knees just feel swollen?? it's hard to explain but I think it's limiting my weight progression. I've been doing a weight I know both can handle and being very conscious of locking out fully because I've found that hurts. at the same time however if I over think the motion I feel like I start putting all the weight and movement on my knees. the only think that seems to help there is to just kinda trust I can do it and not think about it but that feel really unsafe as weight gets higher

Also strong glutes help to protect the back, right? I’m focusing on activating my glutes since my back injury. No problem feeling the quads. Thx for the advice on avoiding the butwink. Never looked healthy to me.
