Every day, our ground team listens to stories of loss, injury, and survival. They meet people whose lives have been permanently altered by the genocide, and too often now we find ourselves in a position The Sameer Project never wanted to be in: unable to help in the way that’s need. Abdullah is a young man who was attacked by the occupation, injured in his back, leaving him with paralysis in his lower body. Today, he needs a wheelchair, and ultimately evacuation so he can access the treatment that may improve his quality of life. After hearing Abdullah's story, we wanted to tell him a wheelchair was already on the way. But the truth is that we cannot afford mobility devices right now. Funding has slowed, needs continue to grow, and we are being forced to make impossible decisions every day. So today, all we can do is listen. All we can do is document. All we can do is tell Abdullah's story and hope that someone hears it. We know thhe genocide is prolonged and the needs remain. We know it is difficult to donate month after month while the suffering continues with no end in sight. But for Abdullah, and for thousands like him, the suffering did not stop when the headlines faded. It continues every single day. If you cannot donate, share Abdullah's story. Bear witness to what has been done to him. Let people see the human cost that remains long after the injury itself. And if you are able to act, please do. Because Abdullah does not need our sympathy. He needs a wheelchair. He needs treatment. He needs a future. Donate to the Medical Campaign, the link is in our bio.
