As someone who has a degree in kinesiology, it’s not a myth. You’ll still grow whether ur in that window or not but it has been proven that the best time to get in protein is right after a workout. Absorption occurs at a higher rate right after a workout. It’s been proven multiple times across multiple longitudinal studies. Total protein absolutely matters the most but if you want to make sure you’re absorbing the majority of the protein u intake, u should definitely consume the larger portion of daily protein right after a workout. There’s too much research on this to believe anything else
