@flickbff: Just added Shrek (2001) to my favorites list on FlickBFF — because this one is a true classic. This movie was different from the moment it came out. It had the comedy, the heart, the action, and a style that made it stand out from every other animated movie at the time. The cast was perfect. Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Fiona — they all brought so much personality to the film. Donkey alone gave us some of the funniest moments of the entire era. What made Shrek hit so hard was that it worked for everybody. Kids loved it, adults loved it, and it was one of those rare movies you could watch over and over without getting tired of it. It also had a real message underneath all the laughs about judging people by appearances and being comfortable with who you are.
