Decades later, every unhinged insane decision in the Star Wars prequels is memorable because you know absolutely nobody behind the scenes was telling the big G to do any of that, for better or worst. The new ones are hypothetically better movies but nobody talks about them because it feels like a movie made in a conference room.

Oh my goodness I completely agree. I have an uncle who keeps on recommending me movies, even the ones he thinks is okay. He's like "you should watch all of these movies, they're not the best but they're pretty ok, got a lot of action," I just try to find a way to avoid watching that movie, because those are the exact kinds of movies I want to avoid. I want to see the movies that stick out, even if it's not the best. Sure, I don't actively want to watch a bad movie, but I'd much rather watch a bad movie than an okay one
