@wildaid: A little white-bellied pangolin whimsy to brighten your feed. ✨ Also known as tree pangolins, these skilled climbers stand out from other species with their smaller size, larger eyes, and distinctive white underbellies. Native to the forests of West and Central Africa, they play a vital role in controlling insect populations by feeding on ants and termites. But like all pangolin species, white-bellied pangolins face serious threats due to demand for their meat and scales. We target the root of the problem: human behavior. By raising awareness, shifting social norms, and working with communities and partners in key areas, we’re helping reduce demand for pangolin products and protect these remarkable animals. ♥️
