I don't think that an age gap relationship is automatically bad, however, a BEYOND GROWN adult vampire going after high schoolers definitely comes off creepy and wrong! Like, if I was gonna write a story like that as a writer myself, I would have the vampire go to college instead, where almost everybody would be a legal adult already!

I came here to defend Edward and the just because 🤨 he didn’t want Bela to be like him. He always wanted her to live a normal life and have kids. She was the one going after him. Even on the new moon movie she said she should feel repulsed on Edwards face. She didn’t want to look older and look younger like him. I agree that older dudes coming on younger girls are horrible. But one thing is one thing. Another thing is another thing 😏. But come on stop hating on the teenager vampire shows. Maybe what all the girls see on this shows is a man that protects them no matter what. Something that on real life unfortunately is not working that well. Easy for man to hate on vampire shows. But if women complain about their sports and video games. Then we are wrong.😑

There was a magical girl series franchise called Precure which was so famous but there was villain named George who was the villain from a Precure series called hugtto precure and he was on love on a teenager named Hana who was the main character he was shown to always give flowers for Hana and not to mention he was a grown up man and everyone and me were like why would Precure allow this not to mention Precure is a anime magical girl series franchise and what George did was basically Grooming

I understand where you’re coming from, but I also think that we have to understand other reasons behind this as well. One of those reasons being that teenage girls being attracted to adult men is normal.. when you are a teenager you are developing turning into an adult slowly but gradually, therefore, so is your attraction. So girls and boys usually have a thing for older characters or older individuals and that is completely natural to their development.. the second reasoning is some girls just like that type of fiction and want to explore it without harming anybody or themselves and extra spices added on when the love interest is a vampire or a werewolf that still looks like they’re in their 20s. So when a vampire looks like they’re about in their 20s however is 1 million years old, It’s best not to take their age that seriously since a lot of the time they don’t even act like they are 1 million years old they act like how their physical bodies are portrayed.

This is why I will continue to watch movies like this with both of my alphas! My ADHD brain makes me talk a lotttt during movies. That's because I have questions to things that don't make sense to me. Does it annoy my children at times,yes. But I truly believe it helps teach them critical thinking and media literacy skills. I think it's working because my 13yo is starting to pick apart Disney movies. lol

I’m on season 3 of a Buffy re-watch and I just got to the point where Angel comes back from the underworld and is no longer evil and the way Buffy defends him to Giles and her friends is so abusive relationship coded. When they confront her about them knowing he’s back and they’re worried about her, she’s all “you don’t understand, he’s different now!” …… I was sitting here all “uhh okay stockholms”

Ive loved vampires since middle school and have been working on my own story for years now. I HATEEEEE this trope man. Absolutely despise it. I prefer born vampires who age a bit slower but aren’t HUNDREDS of years older than their love interest. I love True Blood, but even Sookie with a hundred or thousand year old vampire(no matter how hot) bothers me still.
