@hurleyaviation: One of the last Airworthy F-104 Starfighters in existence, made an appearance at today’s 2026 SunNFun Aerospace Expo. Such a treat to see such a rare classic aircraft make an appearance. It’s like a middle with wings. Such an amazing bird. #f104 #f104starfighter #f105airshow #snf2026 #flysnf

How is it turning?

Jackson Stephens :

The Italian Air Force still flies quite a few of them I believe, but they’ve been updated a ton

ShinyMeatball :

My favorite, thing lives up to its name, looks right out of a sci-fi novel 🥰

Tom :

Starfighters out of Florida uses a fleet of 7 airworthy Starfighters for Hypersonic research and as a launch platform for space bound payloads

git back :

airborneinfantry14 :

You sayin this is The Last Starfighter?

Justin :

There’s a guy the lives on the space coast in Florida that has 3 of them.

JohnnyD67 :

Used to see them all the time at St Pete Clearwater Airport. Pretty fun to see a line of reg airplanes in the pattern then a couple of F-104s come screaming by…. 1950s engine tech just sounds better.

Unfortunately nicknamed "Widowmaker" by Luftwaffe😎

Stephen s :

The jet that made me fall in love with aviation
