One time I s spent an entire evening sobbing because I saw some needlework from the 1400s of flowers that I recognized and realized some lady centuries ago thought those flowers were pretty, too 💜

I touched THE stones at THE henge when I was a little boy. The power of that was lost on my 4 year old brain. Got bored and asked when we were leaving. Wish I could have understood the significance.

I am Italian. My hometown is older than Rome and was founded by Etruschi. The bigger arch and the large defence wall still here. Actually my little garden have a piece of this huge wall as a border😅. My house probably was built around 1500. Sometimes I am thinking about my privilege to seen everyday and everywhere thousand years of human history.

For me its the disused railways of the uk. How a network that changed the entire world. Our Invention, was laid to waste because it struggled to turn profit. All that incredible architecture that stands crumbling, forgotten in tree lines and on cold farmtracks, slowly disappearing or being replaced by housing. The world wouldn’t be the same without our rails

I am from Lichfield. And one night I went out with my friend and boyfriend. We had some drinks and we were all giggly and decided to wander around the town. Ended up at the Cathedral. It suddenly dawned on me how many others my age did the same thing, on a chilly spring night, cheeks flushed from the wine. It was kinda sad but shows how much despite the time we haven't changed really

I am desperate for the privilege to experience this first hand. The Philadelphia Museum of Art had an exhibit that was a series of rebuilt rooms from the reign of Henry VIII and just seeing that brought up the emotions.
